About Jon Sabado

I am a neurodivergent author of Filipino heritage who grew up in Burnaby, British Columbia. Growing up with autism was something that affected me in more ways than one. I was consigned to see things differently from a lot of other people. At some point, I had no idea where my unique perspective was going to take me in life. And then it hit me: I could use it to write books!

I have been imaginative ever since I was a kid—one could say my life was a constant daydream. I had a love for reading and an even bigger passion for writing. Remembering those things made me decide to become an author.

As I was working part-time as a page in the local library—a place that constantly surrounds me with inspiration and motivation—I was slowly but surely working on my first book, Ars Theory.

Through stories that take readers beyond their comprehension as defined by the mundane world we live in, my vision is to provide entertainment, escape, release, and the opportunity to delineate truths we otherwise wouldn’t think we could face. But more importantly, I hope to inspire other youth who have been afflicted with autism like me to recognize their potential and become something far more than what they were born with.

Whenever I’m not writing, I’m exploring outdoors, working out at the gym, taking pictures of food, playing video games due to my crippling case of FOMO, or simply daydreaming yet again.
